I am Designing a Leak Repair Clamps for Oil and Gas Industries.

While Designing an Repair Clamp i found design calculation method of two split shells from ASME SEC> VIII DIV. 1,
All other parts from Basic Engineering like Stud-Nuts , Stiffeners etc.

I need expert help to design my rubber sealing part.
A design of Rubber Sealing Part means not only a material selection but also a cross section of sealing materials and the selected cross section how we found the seal Cross section will take all the loads acting between sealing surface and pipe surface.

I refereed ASME PCC 2 Code for this. the code dose not give any reference for rubber material, In fact no standard gives code reference or equation for this.
Can you please provide a equation or a sample calculation for seal calculation.
