Hydrotest pressure: PED vs. ASME VIII - 1

Can anyone advise how to proceed with the possible conflict between the hydrostatic proof test pressure stated in the ASME VIII - 1 in par. UG-99 and the one mentioned in the ESR of the PED. I prefer to follow the Code entirely on this point, and yet receive the CE mark as well.

Can anyone advise how to adress this matter in your vessel specifications ?

Proof test pressure must of course conform, as a minimum, to the jurisdiction of the site of installation.
If you want to increase it, you should make sure that test pressure will not harm your vessel: this might be the case, if you consider that allowables at room temperature according to PED are in many cases quite higher than those given by ASME.
To make the check one could use the rules of ASME VIII Div.2 (membrane primary stress limited to 0.9Y, membrane+bending primary stress to 1.35Y), but other national codes may have their own rules for that.
