Dear Members

Would like to know if hydrotesting of ASME Coded vessels ( VIII Div 2) can be done for more than one vessels together.( 2 vessels in our case) The hydrotest pressure is same and vessels are identical. An interconnecting hose will be used to connect the vessels. Is there any extra precaution to be taken?

Thanks in advance

No problem, but put in valves between the vessels and provide PI's on both vessels.
When it's leaking then you know whitch vessel it is.

Greetings

Yes, it can be done provided you have a procedure and the AI is in agreeement.

Thanks gentlemen for the reply

If we had a customer and AI inspection, and multiples of the same unit, we would put them all in series (once we knew they were tight) and pump them all up at once for the inspection. No valves, no separate isolation.
