Hi, new guy here. I am designing a water quality swale/ detention pond. its basicall about 2-ft deep and I'll have a Catch BAsin at the crest to intercept any overflow. Question is: when using hydraflow, I model the pond contour area for storage, with the top of pond say at elve 187. Now the catch basin rim will be at 187, but how do I model that in hydraflow? It will keep giving me an area becuase once the water pool up to 187, the anylysis stops. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

For an accurate pond routing with most programs, you need to define the storage to some point ABOVE the highest outlet device. In your case, you could add contour data at an elevation of 188.

Thats how I modeled it a well. I left the contour area the same as 187. Thanks for the response.
