We experience with leakage on gasket for HP Steam (115 barG). Does any body know what suitable for this application.
We have tried kligrite (wit wire) and graphite but not sucesfull

What type of flanges do you have? Are you sealing the turbine casing or the inlet piping flanges?

We seal level gage that connected to steam drum (saturated high pressure steam)

look at spiral wound gaskets. talk to your local supplier.
They require careful handling and possibly flange refacing. But they will work.
Cheers

For HP steam at 115 BarG, flange should be Class 900 or 1500. Spiral wound gasket may not the good choice. I suggest to use ring joint gasket.

Repeat the question from tothepoint. What type of flanges do you have?
