I want to use Mass 21 element as part of my program but im unsure of how to use it and cant seem to find much information on it.

Basically i want to know what real constants it needs. I know it is mass in each axis and inertia around each axis but how does one calculate what these would be?

Have you tried looking in the Ansys user manual (do a search for MASS21). It's, like, really helpful and stuff, especially for all things Ansys related.

Yup, element reference guide isn't very clear, too brief, and it isnt in my copy of the theory reference for some reason. If i could be directed to a copy of the theory reference with this element in it that would be awesome.

google:
Element/Theory Reference Ansys

First results is what you are looking for both cases.

Best Regards,

Dont worry about it i've sorted it out now, but that element is not in that copy of the theory reference which is the first result when you search in google.
