How to stop a process from my application's main figure?

Hi anyone,

My program execute a certain process. I need to be
abble to cancel it at any moment by pressing a button without going out my application.
It would be a kind of CONTROL+C but it would occur while the application's main figure is opened, i.e., without going out the application.

Hi,
The simplest way to do it is to put at your application a check for the button state:
if get(h,'value')==1
pause
end
The value of the button handle h should be defined (either it is created during the application start or transferred as input or as global). Put those lines in the main loop or at several points along the way.
