Hi,all,

We got a big step file(14 MB) from customer. When I import that file, the automatic sewing function was failed. So the imported part has many missing surfaces.

My question is how can I find the open edges in UG, So I can make those surfaces by myself and then sewing them together. In I-deas, there is a function called "show free edges". It can show you the missing surfaces' boundary.

Thanks.

Easiest way is to sew it together and then perform an "examine geometry" and check for boundaries where it shouldn't be any and check for spikes and cuts
