Hello
I am trying to extrude a projected sketch (circle) on a cylinder. How can I do that?
Thanks

There’s no need to do it this way. You can sketch a circle on a plane offset from the cylinder and then extrude it towards the cylinder selecting its surface for "Up to face" extrusion.

By Doing this, does it automatically modify the contact area? because one is cylinder and the other is a circle cross section?

Yes, the extrusion will be adjusted to fit to the cylindrical surface. It works like in CAD software.
