Hi all,
I am modelling battery box enclosed in a cage made with steel bars and steel plates. The battery is sandwiched between two steel plates and the plates are connected with steel bars with pre-tension. I want to solve the problem under static acceleration in 3 directions. I have solved the problem using surface-surface contact. However as the number of battery gets larger, it takes too much time to solve the model.
I am looking to represent the battery box with concentrated mass element (CONM1) and imprint the contact surface on to the steel plate. However I am struggling on how to connect the mass element with the plate. The problem is the battery will only exert force on only one plate which is the at the acceleration direction, so RBE is not working for this problem
Could anyone help me with this model?
Thank you very much
Jason
