Hello, I work on the design engineer department in a company in Sweden. We need to make the frame layer visible on print-outs in our CAD program Solid Edge V.19. This is the layer that highlites a frame around a non updated view in drawing mode. But I can´t see the frame on a print-out. This has developed to be a big problem for us. I attached a screen dump picture to clarify my question.

I would be very thankful if someone can help me whith this issue.

Hi,

select the view and either RMB -- select Properties or click on
the properties button within the ribbon bar. In properties
select tab General and checkmark 'Show drawing view border'

Hello, thank you for your reply.
The problem with "showing the drawing view border" is that it will also be a frame around a drawing that is up-to-date. So this won´t work.
I have an idea about editing the frame layer so that it becomes visible. But I haven´t found a way to edit it yet..

Any ideas?

Hi,

there is no such thing like a layer for this. The only thing
I can think of is to draw the frame manually
- select the view, RMB -- 'Draw in view' and then put a frame
around it with a line/colour of your choice
