Hi,
I have done in-situ metallography for one year,but I can't still make a good cellulose acetate replicating tape to replicate the etched metallographic specimen.So my question is how to make a good cellulose acetate replicating tape or if any standards or codes have some specifications about that.Thank you in advance.

Go to this web site. Buehler is the worlds best in supplying metallographic equipment and consumables. We have bought replicating tape from them for field metallography.

Thank you very much for metengr's help.But I want to make the cellulose acetate replicating tape by myself.

etsen;
Why? You asked for industry standard practices for replication work in the field. If you make your own tape, how can you defend that what you are doing is accurate and reliable?? For the cost of replication tape from Buehler, you have peace of mind and a quality replication tape. Have you evaluated their replication kit?? If you do this as part of your job, I would think twice about what you are asking to do.
