How to link a file to a Microsoft Access form

I have a form in access that is used to enter in specifications. When new specs are added to the form I want the user who is entering the data to be able to attach a pdf file to the form. Sadly I have no idea how to do this. I was thinking I could use a DDE object but it wants the link to be pre entered, not defined when a new form is filled out.
