Hi groups,
I have a question about material definition.
The material which I am using now will expand as the environmental moisture content increasing.
I can't find any material in the Abaqus match this character.

I am wondering if anyone has experiences with moisture.
It would be really help if you guys can give a hint how to involve it.

hi
check the Gel option in pore fluid

but my material is wood fibre.
It is different from gel.

You can code your own material response in the user subroutine UMAT, if there is no built-in material for your problem.

Just treat the moisture expansion as a thermal expansion problem. Enter the moisture swelling coefficients as if they were thermal expansion values, and apply the moisture content as a thermal load, of course being sure to keep the units correct.

there is a "thermal-stress" analysis available which might solve your problem.
