Hi
How to insert a surface symbol like maching, grinding symbols ( 2 triangles for milling or turning, 3 triangles for grinding)
I tried but I am getting Ra symbol

Thanks

Are these triangles per a certain drafting standard?
What version of NX are you on?

Dont knoe , But why Am insisting this, I gave a drawing to my vendor , just he milled the part actually I need grinding all faces , I asked my vendor it needs grinding allover, he asked that you didnt mentioned grinding symbol.
Thanks

Well, you can specify grinding using standard finish symbols, instead of your triangles.
I think the last time I saw a finish specified the way you are describing was something like 30 years ago.

Specify the appropriate surface finish. Use GD&T to 'drive' the manufacturing process towards grinding if that is what is needed.

THERE IS SOME SYMBOLS UNDER "SURFACE FINISH"----"LAY SYMBOLS" (LIKE "C" AND "M" ECT)
