I hope this is the right Forum for this; I am wondering if any of can help with this problem.
I have been directed to improve the efficiency of our mold repair shop. We currently have about 200 active molds running in 25 presses.
The repair techs now do an OK job, but every one seems to do their own thing on molds they work on. There seems to be no communication between them and our record keeping is all manual notes that nobody pays much attention to. It’s like every repair is a new surprise. I’m sure we could be more efficient if they shared maintenance information.
How do you folks handle your maintenance and how do you determine cost inefficiencies so you can improve?
