How to convert 2D drafting sketch into 3D modeling ?

As Example: For simply making a block a front and side view needed. Attached a drafting pic of same.

Use 'Tools/Copy to 3D' command. But I think, that sketch curves have to be in drawing views, not on sheet.

Hi....

Don't know what version of NX you are using, but Powerdrafting is you answer....
Have a look at below Youtube movie.

If Powerdrafting is the answer, please explain with example how to use it.

Did you have a look at the movie for which I provided a link?

Yes I looked that one. Initial creation of Sketches in views not shown.

I want to have in detail. How to create those sketches and views ?

FYI, I am using NX8 version.

Why would you want to do that?
I gather from your comments that you don't have any geometry yet. If I'm correct you want to start with creating 2D geometry on a drawing in different views and from there create 3D geometry.

This is exactly the other way around as NX is ment to be used....

You should start with creating your 3D and from there derive the 2D views in drafting.

The video explains how to use powerdrafting on already existing 2D drawings (without 3D) to easily create a 3D model.
