hellow!
i m struggling with that chamfer since morning:
tried lofted cutout, but no success.
simple chamfering of lower edge leaves too much guessing...

Small picture so I may be missing something but a 'quick and dirty' way to do it might be:

Create ref plane across diagonal.

Create a cutout that trims the desired area on that plane.

Extend it 'through all' or 'through next' both ways.

Pattern if need be for the other 4 corners

thanks for your replies!
i thought there would be sort of automatic method for doing such chamfers.

Chris,
As you can see, there are many ways to do this. Here's another..use chamfer, but set your option to "angle and setback"(the 1st button on the ribbon bar) you'll need to extend your chamfer on the 4 sides to the 2nd plane, because this adds material to your part, choose the edge to chamfer as your short red line(side opposite I suppose). You'll need to know the distance and the angle.
Hope this helps

304080,

you probably want something like the 'variable radius' option in the round feature.

Short and simple answer: this is not possible with the chamfer feature.
