Folks-
I once knew how to do this but the cobwebs are starting to win. Does anyone know how to calculate the heat dissipated by a power supply given the power supply efficiency and the total power consumption of the system powered by the power supply?

I think you meant:

Ppsu = Pout*(1-EFF)/(EFF)

I found the formula after some intense digging at work today. This makes sense because a perfect power supply has EFF=1 and Ppsu=Pout. You're formula has Ppsu going to infinity as EFF tends to 1.
