anyone know how to build the rope and wheel system, i want to analyse it.

In mechanism dynamics you can use gear pairs with offset distance to simulate a rope wheel system while in mechanica you can use springs to simulate rope.

Interesting suggestion Israr!

What does "rope wheel system" mean? Is it belt (or chain) drived mechanism?

belt drived mechanism

Just one observation: how do you take into account the slip? What about tensile forces on the belt, friction between belt and pulley, and belt elongation due to belt load?

Ibotez,

You can,t compare MDO with ADAMS which is a dedicated software. Gear pair in MDO only takes into account the velocity ratio, although you can add damper and springs and friction (both staic and dynamic) as well.

Is ADAMS well-integrated with WF 2.0 and other CAD softwares? Can I model assemblies in WF and use ADAMS for advanced analysis?

Thanx

Yes, you can. But you have to have MechPRO license which is aProEngineer toolkit for ADAMS.

WF 2.0 and ADAMS 2005 work perfect.
