hi, all experts,
i'm performing the FEA to a tall vertical tower with wind loads being considered. the wind load is per asce 7-10.

i am stuck on how to apply the wind loads in ANSYS which varies depending the height. i think the wind load is the function of height, must i figure out the function to apply wind load? what is typically dealt with?

thank in advance.

thanks @Snickster.
Since i'd never used API 2A, i wonder if such equation to be entered for application of wind loads is inherently consistent with that of ASCE 7-10.

the wind loads per ASCE 7 varies depending on exposure category, while no similar clause could be found in API 2A para. 2.3.2

thanks in advance
