Hi,
I have a 3d Model which consists of an Iges File generated in Catia and / or in ProEngineer.

I use the Element Solid92
(10-Nodel Tetrahedral Structural Solid)
I have to use it for Topology Optimization afterwards

After Loading my Model and setup my Elementtype
I need to applie Forces at particular Koordinates. Therefore I have to create Keypoints. After I created these Keypoints I run the Meshing.
I Setup my constraints and applie the forces on the Keypoints. After the Solutionpart I head for the Nodal Solution / Van Misses Stress - But Ansys could not recognize any Forces acting on the Model - so no Stress and no Displacement can be shown....

Kmesh command does obviesly not work as I am using the Element Solid92
Generally speaking the keypoints and forces are not associated into my mesh or solve part...
Is anyone able to help me out in this Problem?
Thank you in advance

Hello,

This is a basic problem: Your Keypoints are not associated with the volumes since the volumes have their own keypoints. You will have to apply the forces to the volumes keypoints, not to predefined keypoints.

Since you manually defined the keypoints, you must know their coordinates(x,y,z). So my suggestion is to apply the forces by: F,kp(x,y,z). This way you must not know the keypoints numbers.

Alex

Hello,
why don't you try this?

NSEL, S, LOC, z, ...
NSEL, r, LOC, x, ...
NSEL, r, LOC, y, ...

*GET, NNUMB, NODE, 0, COUNT,
FNZ=(your force)/NNUMB
F, ALL, FZ, FNZ
