How OR do we flush a thermic fluid heater when we cut flow to exgrs?

Hi all, We have a thermic fluid heater in the system design. The heater is cut off and and the flow to heat exchangers are cut in case of plant emergencies. what do we do to protect the thermic fluid heater coil? Do we flush the coils with inert gas? Heater Vendor has not given any reccomendations!!
