Hi everyone,

I'm designing a part for a 3d printer that require a special kind of texture (not sure if "texture" is the right word here). Basicaly, it consist on a grid framework (see image below). Are there any special tool i can use? Or do i have to draw each hole?

Ty for your help

There are a few ways to do this, but one option is to create the main shape as a surface, and then project various curves that define the openings and make surface cuts. Once done, thicken the surface to make your part.

You could try doing several different patterns.

You are judged not by what you know, but by what you can do.

There are a few aftermarket programs that may do what you are trying to do but they aren't cheap and I can't guarantee it will be much easier than just cutting every hole.

Ty all for your advices, i will start drawing it today
