How could I fit a socket at an angle on copper pipe?

I want to fit a thermowell at an angle against the flow of water in a copper pipe but need to fit a threaded socket for the thermowell to screw into. How would I do this on copper pipe? Are there dedicated angled threaded sockets available to purchase?

A quick google seems to say no.

Your option may be to introduce a bigger pipe section, get the smallest tee you can find and then add a 45 degree elbow and then work out if the angles work for you to allow something in the 45 degree section to poke through into the main pipe.

Contact your local air-conditioning suppler and ask them to do it. Pretty simple undertaking.

I do not know dedicated angled threaded sockets for copper pipe but i will suggest the use of threaded BRASS Y STRAINER . The connection to the copper pipe could be with brass fittings ( pls look YORKSHIRE and ISIFLO fittings )

Not sure on the details (pressure, length, etc.) of what you are looking for, but agree with Artisi that you can have a mechanical contractor custom fabricate this for you.

Copper is readily weldable and brazeable. Anything can be fabricated.

Can you use an unequal wye connector to give you a socket? Nibco cast bronze came up in a quick search
