Please advise any experience or capability of horizontal direction drilling from a shore base. Project needs about 1500m of DN1400 PE pipe for a sewer outfall.

The normal sink and float technique is not wanted because of marine traffic.

We have reamed a 6' hole but for a steel pipe. For 1400mm diameter PE pipe and 1500m we would suggest a tunnel or a pull offshore. It partly depends on the waves and currents.

We would pull on wire rope attached to continuous collars and possible an off-bottom pull.

Do you have the space for pipe strings?

Is dredging possible?

That is a very large diameter PE pipe. It would be interesting to see the pull loads on the pipe over a 1,500 metre distance. Is it possible to split it into two pipes?
