Does anyone know of any requirements specific to cold-weather grouting for hollow-core plank keyways? I have checked the "PCI Design Handbook for Precast and Prestressed Concrete" and the "PCI Manual for the Design of Hollow Core Slabs" and do not see any requirements in those publications. The grout is a simple portland cement/sand grout mix, so I don't think ACI 306 is really appropriate.

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Possibly go to real source of the question and ask the plank supplier. The supplier is usually somewhat local (climate-wise) and see the situations differently than their southern counterparts since it is usually a one man, one vote situation. A very high percentage (80%+) of the suppliers are members of the PCI and have engineers on staff since often erect and install the products. They are usually members of ACI, but sometimes the large all-encompassing organizations are slow to get practical specifics into the documents, due to the consensus committee structure since the real doers are volunteers of their time.
