Hi all,

It might be staring right at me and I just don't see it, but..
Is there a way to add tapped holes for UNC STI (for inserts) using the hole-wizard?
The idea is to get the "automation" when dimensioning the feature during the creation of a technical drawing, so all the info about the hole is automatically added when using the Hole-Callout.

For example I have a 2TLC-04C-0168 helicoil, which requires the UNC STI 4-40 tap, but the only option in hole-wizard which has any mention of an insert is the regular "hole" option ('helicoil tap drills' under Type selection), and in the drawing the callout just gives the dimensions without referencing anything related to the STI tap (e.g. threads, size, that this is an STI), and it produces flat bottom holes.

Thanks,
SD

I'm not familiar with the STI thread standard, but SW does offer a few different insert threads in Hole Wizard:

OP:

Do you have an image to show what you want to do? If you can't find a specific feature in SW hole wizard, you can always create your own.

I agree. SW doesn't have all threads (I wish they did). You can create your own.
