92DP,
You sort of did something redundant, best I can tell from your post.
It sounds to me like the following.
1. You made a sketch with points.
2. Then you opened the HoleWiz and proceeded to go about using the points created in the first sketch to drive location for the HoleWis points.
If this was the case. Instead do the following.
1. Select the plane/surface for the holes.
2. Open the HoleWiz.
3. Now, you are "in a sketch". You can just sketch the points in question into the HoleWiz sketch. Using standard sketching methods. Constrain all the points you place in this sketch. This will give you the effect you are looking for with only one sketch. Just constrain the first point created by opening of the HoleWiz and locate this point as you wish. You can add points to the sketch created by the HoleWiz by using standard point objects. Anywhere you put one you will get a hole.
If for some reason you need/want 2 sketches to do this then, just delete the point that is created at the selection location by default when using the HoleWiz.
