I'm guessing this is an easy one for most in this area but I've been out of school for too long to remember how to do this correctly so I'm looking for some help. I have a donut shaped part with a high tolerance hole in it in 380 aluminum. The part is about 5" OD and the ID is 1.5". Using these numbers what is the new hole size (ID) for a 20 degree F rise in temperature. I seem to get a lot of rejects on this part in the spring as the temperature rises, just FYI. Please help. Thanks.

Are you looking for the change in material properties when aluminum is heated from temperature x to temperature (x+20°F)? Or is the temperture increase just due to outside air temperature rising?
