hello,

I have a problem with very big stress and I don't know how to handle this.

a steel part is stressing a plastic tank that have big fillets.

In the mechanica assembly, the steel part is in contact with the top surface of the plastic tank like this :

The problem is that I have infinite stress in the fillet of the tank and the deformation is not realistic, like this :

So, how can I manage this and make my simulation more realistic ?

Is the only solution "contact simulation" ? (I think that my parts are too complicated for that because I have this problem at several locations.)

thanks,

Using a contact analysis would make your solution more accurate, butyou may have already created a convincing argument for design changes. If you can fill in the fillets with some support material or create a brace between the two parts you will make the assembly much stronger and also eliminate your need for a contact analysis.

The scale at which the deformations are plotted can be deceiving. I suggest you make sure you are looking at deformations at a 1:1 scale.
