When I insert dimensions in fraction in the drawing, it automatically gives inch mark(") after the dim values. Does anybody know how I can get rid of " mark, while still displayed in fraction??

hi Uka,
u didn't tell which Solidworks Version u r using.
pls follow these steps,
Tools-Options-Document Properties-Units-
here below the Linear Units - Select Decimal Option (instead of Fraction option)

here u can change ur current units types also like mm, cm, inches, feets etc..
i think this will solve ur problem.
thanks,

Thanks, Murugan.

I am using SolidWorks2003.

I wanted keep fractional display without showing inch annotation. Is it even possible? I've heard you can accomplish this by typing something instead of <DIM> under dimension value.

I would strongly urge you not to type in a replacement value for <Dim>. That is one of the surest ways there is to introduce drawing errors. Why? Because when you then change a model dimension, your drawing still displays the value you entered. You will have removed the associativity.

Unfortunately, though, I cannot help you with removing the inch marks from the text.

Thanks!

I guess I will choose decimal option...
