Hi
Can we do RT on welded pipes procured from vendor?
Pipe material is SA312 TP321.

You can do whatever you want to.
But why?
What Code are you working under?
What rules would you apply?
And remember that unless this was part of the original PO anything that you find is your issue.

P.E. Metallurgy, consulting work welcomed

Code is ASME section 8 div 1

Still need to know why and that isn't a pipe spec

Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Because of Table 1A W14 note of ASME Section 2 part D

Can you paste in what this note says?

Of course you can RT the welds seam of autogenously welded SA-312 pipe. Because the spec does'nt specify RT other than for heavily reduced pipe after welding, you can RT the long seam per ASME VIII to achieve the higher joint Efficiency provided therein.
