we will just let our customer know that we are not responsible for any meaning or requirements due to this if they are unwilling or unable to supply us with this information.
This part reeks of a standoffish attitude or indifference on your part, but I hope that you have a point of contact at your customer who is friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help to offset that.
Respect for not ignoring this issue completely and looking outwards for a solution, though.
In regards to your symbols, I know them as Quality Assurance Provisions (QAPs)symbols that define Classification of Characteristics, Verifications Levels, and Inspection Requirements. The guide we use to interpret them is a DWG NO. 12993884, which references MIL-STD-1916, both can be found floating around if you do some searching, but the DWG seems like a specific standard for a specific application.
I don't know if it only applies to that singular market/application, or if there are similar specifications for other markets/applications, but you will likely know right away if it is the same market/application to what you are making.
If you are just subbing and your customer is the responsible party, these symbols may not even be relevant to you or what you are doing though.
Good luck!
