I am trying to create a formula in expressions to calculate the height of a tube given the outer radius, the inner radius and a volume desired. I keep getting syntax errors. The radii and the volume have there own expression establishing there values.

Thanks, Fred

I probably should clarify the radii and volume values are established from measurement expressions.

Thanks, Fred

If you can post what you are trying to use for an expression it would be possible to see the error, or are you looking for someone to show a way to code the process?

Keep the area and height expressions, reference your expressions for the radii and volume.

I got it to work, but I had to break all the variables down to separate expressions. It would be easier if I can create one formula expression for the "height needed"

Here's my take on this. Sometimes I find I have to play around with "Dimensionality" to get formulas to work.
