I'm doing a theoretical project that has the following brief:

Figure out a way of processing fine grain powder CBN from source size of 45µm to finish range of 1-3 µm final size.

I've looked at a few ways, but am struggling to come up with a viable solution. Gas atomization doesn't seem to be able to yield results those low, and I have the same problem with mechanical screening techniques. I think the problem is going to be something like static or centrifugal sedimentation (I saw reference to this in some of my research), but can't find out any information on this online.

Can anyone provide any direction?

Thanks Cloa. I'll try and get a mod to move the post...I'm assuming that's what I should do if I want ti moved?
