I'm having trouble finding were to change the default number when creating a feature. Heres and example, when I create a pad the default length is 0.787in.... I realise somewhere this is probably set to 20mm and since I'm using english measurements it converts it to 0.787in. I'ld like to set the setting to 25.4mm so it comes out at 1.000in

I made simialar changes in the drafting settings where say I need 1/8" arrow heads I set it o 3.175 and it came out correct.

I'ld like to set some these default numbers for a list of features, like pad, offset...etc.

The default is based on the last used value. (except for drafting)

If you created a pad 1" long, the next time you use the function, it should be set to 1".

good point, but the intial number comes from somewhere each time you start. I would have to think that somewhere like maybe in the mscatalog directory there is a file with these numbers or values listed.

We've had more than one user request this to be changed so I like to fix it for them.

I searched everything that I thought could conceivably be associated with that value. I found nothing. (searched by such terms as length, limit, pad, FirstLimit, etc...)

It is probably a hard coded default. (although I'd be interested in the answer, as well)

I'm pretty sure that it is hard coded. The defaults are usually 20mm.
