Hello everyone, Im doing a project on piezoelectric power harvesting. Right now, my piezo disk prodce 30V AC. After putting through a bridge rectifier and 1000uF capacitor for DC conversion, the output is 20mV DC and 30microA which is insufficient to even use a BJT. Is there anyway I can amplify the current?

Best regards,
Noob piezo

Sorry HH, that circuit consumes lots of current. Much more than the piezo disk can deliver.

Half full - Half empty? I don't mind. It's what in it that counts.

itsmoked, thanks for the controller reference though it is unlikely I will ever use it. There is no magic inside of that chip as far as a rectifier. Unlikely his results will be any different from what he has now.

Hi Opera. I actually expected to see some sort of synchronous active FET rectifier, when I first found these chips, but then realizing that running those FETs would probably consume way more energy than it would save at these really low powers.
