We have been thrown into the abyss of PMI and no one knows exactly how it works. not even the EGD&T group
I have a file that I need to update ( NX )
So when I open the drawing and replace the component the PMI dissociates. Re-associating leaders is doable, but does anyone know
where to go to update the dimensions that go to a moved area? - i thought it would be the same as the leaders? but apparently it is not?

I'm no PMI expert, but it is my understanding that the PMI gets added to the model file (not the drawing file); in the drawing file, the PMI and/or modeling views are imported and placed on the drawing.

Someone please correct me here...

Hi,
Can you please provide some images of the same. I presume you have defined the PMI dimensions at assembly level itself and then doing the replace component.
Best Regards
