I need to find a good supplier/manufacturer (price, quality, reliability) for gate valves with working pressures of up to about 800 psi for water supply. Thanks.

I figured this would get a reply, but guess not...it occurs to me that while water applications seldom have pressures this high, it's not uncommon for steam and other applications- and i would think steam valves would work. If you need help finding them, you might repost in the "Boiler and Pressure Vessel Engineering" and the "Piping & Fluid Mechanics Engineering" forums.

You dont mention the size of valve that you have in mind. Small bore valves from Smith (Crane) can certianly meet your requirements.

The materials however would need to be looked at. The bodies would be cast steel or stainless steel. You may be better off with a ball valve from a cost perspective.
