We are planning on putting electrical heat tracing on liquid lines on a peice of equipement that is destine for Argentina. The voltage and frequency of the power in Argentina is 220V, 50 Hz. Normally we use 110V and of course 60 HZ. We have access and will use the 220V rated Heat trace cable but we are wondering if the 50Hz will cause a problem or if there are other things that we will have to do different for the 50 Hz.

Heat tape won't care as long as the voltage is correct. Do keep in mind that:
POWER = Voltage x Voltage / Resistance
This means that 240V heat tape will actually put out about 15% less heat when run at 220V This may or may not require some changes.
