Hi all,

I'm trying to get spun up on ProMechanica thermal and am double checking some hand calculations for a finned surface I have a few fins mounted to plate

View attachment 2675

I have applied a heat load to the rear of the plate and convection to the left and right vertical surfaces of the heat fins. I've ignored the rest of the surfaces at this time.

The problem is that when I run the analysis, I'm getting a max temperature of the convection temperature I've inputted. If you have any idea of what I'm doing wrong, I'd really appreciate some advice.

Thanks,

Mike
