What is the maximum deflection/bend HDPE can go through in a turn?

Depends on the diameter and application.

Small diameter, pressurized water and WW pipe can be deflected 5 degrees, max. This is usually specified by the local utility.

Gas piping shouldn't be deflected at all, again, usually spec'd by gas co.

Large diameter gravity flow piping can quite likely tolerate deflection, but most often straight runs to junctions are specified.
 
You can run HDPE through a full circle. I think the turn radius is 30-40 times the diameter. Go to one of the websites and or get product info from a saleman. Phillips Petro. makes one of the common HDPE for gravity sewers. Driscopipe is one brand I've used.

Cold field bend radius of HDPE is function of DR and OD. MINIMUM Bend radius for common drs are as follows:

DR9 or thicker = 20 times od
DR 9 to DR13.5 = 25 times od
DR 13.5 to DR 21 = 27 times od
greater than DR 21 = 100 times od

ie. 8 in. IPS DR 11 HDPE pipe can be bent into a circle that has a 200 in. or 16.7 ft radius. Many muni's are starting to use HDPE for cul-de-sacs to eliminate the need for fittings. Perfect application for it. Good luck.
