Questions:

Would 17-4 (double aged H1150-NACE certified) be a suitable material in 7.5% HCL? Or would it be better than 4140 (NACE)in the same environment?

For the same solution - would Aluminum-Nickel-Bronze be better than ductile cast iron (80-55-06)?

Thanks,

jackboot

4140 will dissolve faster than 17-4PH. Neither is suitable.
The others aren't any better. If you're going to use an alloy, it should be nickel based.

thanks for the info.
