Hardness Test

Had some scaffold boards that got hot enough during PWHT to smolder and possibly have an open flame. Boards were put out buy water hose. If I were to do hardness test on this pipe is there a specific way or layout of the test on the pipe?

try to use a grid with a spacing 25mm for each hardness measurement . This hardness test can be performed by a portable hardness reader.
