I am trying to do an elasto-plastic analysis in Mechanica. What is a good source to obtain either the data or equation of hardening law for some metals such as 17-4PH, Al 7075-T6 etc

Thanks

Recommended for you

Physical testing or atlas of stress strain curves.

Remember, to convert the engineering stress strain data to true stress vs plastic strain data.

Thanks Steve, I will see if I can get access to the Atlas and check it out. Thanks again

Steve,
I got hold of the book. I have attached the graph for heat treat H925.
Can I use the graph (attached) as it is in Mechanica or do I have to convert the beyond-yield part of the curve for hardening using the Ramberg-Osgood parameters. If so only the n value is given, how can i obtain either the K in the formula

Strain = (Sigma/E) + K(Sigma/E)^n

or alpha in the formula

Strain = (Sigma/E) + alpha*(Yield/E)*(Sigma/Yield)^n

Thanks for your help.
