Hi All
I'm interested in developing water container that that can be and hung permanently from a handle. I'm considering using silicone as a material because of its resistance UV light degradation, resistance to heat and cold, as well as the fact that it is a safe material for drinking water.
I'm not an engineer by training and could use some help figuring out how thick the handle needs to be so that the handle doesn't tear under normal use.
Can someone point me to the right equations I would use to determine how thick the handle would need to be in order to safely hold 2 gallons of water (16.7 lbs / 7.6 kilograms)?
