Hi Everyone,

I am aware of the introduction of OAPI in ETABS and its powerful benefits. However, is there a way to access the command file of a model you have created in ETABS to modify it? Just like you can do in STAAD Pro, which allows you to create the model using GUI amd then you can access the command file to make some changes. I don't think you can do something similar using OAPI if I am not mistaken.

Thanks

Hi Hark88,

Yes you can. You can export a .e2k file which is a text file of the complete model you have created. Just go to File->Export->ETABS .e2k Text File.

You can then make any edit to the script and simply import back into a new model using File->Import.
