Groups in FEA 1

Hi

Need help in Patran property assignment form.
Patran provides an " Application Region " where element numbers can be input like Elem 1:500 when user wants to assign a property to a set of elements.

Is there an option to specify a group name directly for selecting elements?

You should post this under the MSC Patran forum.
in any case, you couldn't do what you want.

The workaround is to make the group needed current, Go to modify group and select all the elements in that group. Copy and past in the property assignment form.
