Dear All,
We have a fabricated vessel with 1" thick shell and 2" tube sheet. Tube sheet is welded to the ID of the shell with a full peneration weld (ie throught the 2" thicknes). I know this is not necessary, we could have had less deeper weld. When I am deciding the governing thickness is "greater of 2"/4 and 1" rule" still applicable?
The skecthes given in UCS66.3 does not show where tube sheet welded to the ID of the shell with full penetration weld through tube sheet.
Thanks
